Laura still on proofs of Troy.
Allen and Karl to lunch: Allen has done 3 chapters of his novel 'Year of Damage'
Making out Constable list.
Walk in Park1 with Allen: took a canoe on the Serpentine with him: 1/6 an hour in late afternoon smoky sunset, swans, gulls, sailboats, gloomy trees. Started up boil again.
Dinner with Mary & Bill Fuller. Hay diet and strawberry ice. Very quiet & nice. Sketched out Bill's legal novel for him: the title 'Greek Wedding'.
Have ×××× [indecipherable] smoked one cigarette since Thursday.
