Letter from A.L. [Arnie Lawrence] about tracing books. Would I write for[RG] Lies About Lawrence2. Said I would.
Gelat visited us in morning — further chapter about water. The S. of P. [Señor of Sa Pedrissa] has quarrelled with the Soller judge, to[RG] whom he had promised to[RG] an arreglo3 on condition that no demanda4 was made on him. Gelat ×××× [crossed out] told us of a long interview with Juan of Moli: explained to him [sic: whom] that medico would lose 1500 pts. a year which he was getting, not entitled to[RG]. Apparently the Chief of Doctors' Association has told the D r not to meddle with foreigners. (This comes from Juzgado5 colonel-judge, who is president of Fomento de Turismo6).
