Worked all morning on final Claudius corrections mostly will & shall, should & would [sic: wood] — also ×××× [crossed out] Vesuvius, aconite, Cymbeline, Aramaic & similar points. Laura wrote to Beck.
All afternoon planting tulips (leaf mould, sand, ordinary earth) some (Clusiana) 6
inches deep (Kauffmannia) 4, others 3-4. Gave 8 to the[RG]
