Dictionary with Alan: and again with Laura at night.
Final verse to The Suicide in the Copse.
Leonie went to Rennes; so much housework.
Picked hips and red blackberries to flavour apple-jam. At night in the Salon made 30 lbs [pounds] flavoured also with lemon peel & (too much) cloves: Beryl, Dorothy, Alan helping (David abstained). Finished at 2 am.[RG] Heard from Honor after silence of 2 months. She was to have come but had no money.
At jam making asked Beryl 'Frankly, are you bored with the stirring?'
'No, not frankly.'
D.L.Murray wrote to Laura: if she cares to make a factual statement about review1 he will print it. Laura wrote again ending: 'if you answer this I will write again.'
