Heavy cold. Kept in all day. Mad letter from John Lucy. Mary in Cumberland 'phoned. Typewriter came.
Prepared Ch [Chapter] XXV for typing, & began going over Ch [Chapter] 1.
Margaret & Montague Simmonds to supper, & Honor.
Settled Jenny's debts. Talk about education etc with Simmonds till [until] midnight.
