Saw Catherine off to Teignmouth. She lost or left behind everything possible but I got her safe into the train. (Shopped with her at Selfridges)
On return: found[RG] 'Molly Morgan' came for a talk, a schoolmaster in Rhodesia.
Then Mary Lucy phoned from Morecambe1. She had escaped with her two children from John via Belfast2 to Nan & Wilfred in Cumberland. We telegraphed her £10. Then got Inspector Thompson of ×××× [indecipherable] St John's Wood police here for advice as to procedure if John comes gunning – he threatened to kill us as well as Mary.
12 pp [pages] Belisarius; and a sore throat.
