In afternoon met Clarissa (late) at the Albert Memorial &
walking through Kensington Gardens, then to Philip's – met Kitty, for the first time since 1916,

and Rubin1, a Tel Aviv [sic: Tel-a-Viv] artist (with a rich American wife) who paints successful water-colours[RG]; and Sally with whom I went back in a taxi to Hampstead where she gave me the Institutes & Rufin[RG] Rutilius's poem. Then to Adler's with Laura & Tanny – who stayed to supper.
Laura bought a black velvet evening gown for 12 gns
