Had to apologize to Mrs Bishop for Jenny's being up so late & breaking a light[RG] bulb. She & David keep on losing their keys. Wrote to Korda asking him to attend Dorchester opening with us.
Letter from Juan, asking[RG] dated July[RG] August[RG] 20th. Solomon1 well: evidently got no letter from us. The letter came off with an English boat.
David & Sam to a cinema. Sam full of tricks, especially enjoys playing with the lift.
Funny to see factory chimneys belching smoke.
