Wrote to Consul3 asking him to communicate with American Consul at Barcelona, & with Honor, and with Alan's parents.
Close day. Got in a supply of coffee. Have a good deal of sugar. Laura still at Troy ending[RG]
Schools. At 12 o clock 2 planes flew over Palma & dropped bombs. Two in Plaza Olivar wrecking house of Socialist Ques (now in prison) and wounding Banalbufar bus driver in arm, another at bootblack stand by Duran's. another by Alzamora's flour depõt. Many wounded.[RG] colmado4 Duran's The[RG] shop is said to have collapsed. Everyone fleeing from Palma again. 29 guests at Costa D'Or (3 in a bed in many cases). Alan Karl & I bathed at Lluchalcari, saw Junyers who have our 3 pictures & showed us a Barcelona paper of the 26th. The planes threatened to return at 5, and did. No ×××× [indecipherable] [RG] All the same went to Fabrica at 8.40. News over radio of fall of Oviedo. "Gov t winning," etc. Barcelona newspapers circulating freely.
