Wrote a long answer to Sunday Times on this cutting.1
Laura long abed. The Simmons's came to lunch & were with us all day, talking.
In the evening we went together to the Cervantes in Old Compton Street2 and afterwards to Café Royal. I had a bad stomach cured by 4 brandies.
