Went by car to various recommended flats – Castagnola, Mascagno, Paradiso etc & even had a look at Gandria – but nothing. So took the half[RG]house we nearly took yesterday. Villa Guidi, an ex-Milanese palace. Signora Poggi – her son, an advocate & art-critic – Italian & has a feeling for cats & alt[RG] old fashioned things. 150 fr
[francs] a month.
Carnival – saw children's scooter race in Plaza.
Again in Town at night.
Dancing in square to Swiss music.
